Job summary

Xtremepush Limited in Dublin seeks an experienced Data Modeller to design, build and maintain data models, computed attributes and reporting on the Xtremepush platform. You will work across multiple clients, shaping data and delivering dashboards while explaining technical insights to non-technical stakeholders.

The role requires advanced Python and SQL skills, strong analytical capabilities and a history of working with dimensional and relational models.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in data modelling or analytics engineering.
• Degree in CS/IS/Math or equivalent experience.
• Advanced Python and SQL with performance-aware queries.
• Knowledge of dimensional and relational modelling with SQL databases.
• Experience with ClickHouse, Metabase or equivalent BI stack.
• Hands-on AWS and Snowflake experience.
• Understanding of data governance and data quality.

We are seeking an experienced Data Modeller to design, build and maintain the data models, computed attributes and reporting that support our clients’ use cases on the Xtremepush platform. Working across a number of clients, you will structure and prepare the underlying data and create the dashboards and insights that enable client teams to run and monitor their marketing activity. This role requires the successful candidate to be proficient in Python and SQL, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to explain technical insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain relational and dimensional data models, schemas and complex queries.

• Create and manage computed attributes, ensuring they are accurate and available at the latency each use case requires.

• Build dashboards and automate recurring reporting so marketing teams can run and monitor their activity with minimal manual effort.

• Implement the data structure defined by the Data Analyst, raising issues and suggesting improvements rather than redesigning it independently.

• Work with the Data Integration Lead to ensure new data sources land in a shape that fits the model.

• Maintain data governance, lineage and documentation for all models.

Your Experience and Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in data modelling, analytics engineering or a related data role, ideally in financial services or another regulated sector.

• A degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• Advanced Python and SQL skills, with performance-aware query and schema design.

• Strong knowledge of dimensional and relational modelling, with experience of databases such as SQL Server, Oracle or MySQL.

• Experience with ClickHouse, Metabase or an equivalent BI or analytics stack.

• Hands-on experience with AWS and Snowflake.

• Understanding of data governance, lineage and data quality practices.
