Job summary

Jobtailor in Ireland is seeking a data governance professional to promote data quality and regulatory compliance across key business processes and systems.

You will map data flows, support data classification, and record processing activities in the governance tool, coordinating with Data Owners and Stewards.

Candidates should have 2+ years in data analytics or related fields, a bachelor’s degree, strong MS Office skills, and excellent communication and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• Interest in data management, data quality, data protection, etc.
• Bachelor’s degree or 2+ years of relevant experience in business administration, data analytics, Finance, IT or related field.
• Experience engaging with business and IT management to understand business processes, data flows, controls or business needs.
• General knowledge of the GDPR and privacy law requirements.
• Experience in data governance, data quality, audit, risk management and related area will be an advantage.
• Familiarity with the insurance industry, processes, and terminology will be an advantage.
• Proficiency in using MS Office tools.
• Strong organizational, project management and multi-tasking skills.
• Ability to work closely with peers and build strong partnerships with key stakeholders.
• Excellent communication, presentation and influencing skills.

Responsibilities

• Promote data governance and data quality with business, IT management, and project teams.
• Understand data flows across key business processes and systems.
• Support stakeholders in data classification and processing records per GDPR.
• Identify Critical Business Terms and map to enterprise glossary and data flow docs.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to improve data quality and appoint Data Owners/Stewards.
• Assist data stewards in defining data quality rules and reviewing results.
• Review data flows and controls to identify data error risks and report weaknesses.
• Align with data management policies and standards for initiatives.
• Produce standard and custom reports for stakeholders and regulators.
