Job summary

CitySwift is seeking a Data Engineering Manager to lead a high-caliber team responsible for designing, building, and maintaining our data infrastructure and pipelines. You will shape the tech strategy, ensure scalability and reliability, and enable the business to derive value from data at scale.

You will mentor engineers and data scientists, drive recruitment, and collaborate with cross-functional partners to translate business needs into robust technical solutions.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a technical leader in data engineering.
• Experience building data pipelines and platforms.
• Strong understanding of data modeling and warehousing.
• Expertise with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Proficient in Python or Java.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate a team of data engineers and scientists to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Support team formation and growth through mentoring and coaching.
• Recruit and onboard new team members as the team grows.
• Drive an efficient software delivery process and manage team ceremonies/backlog.
• Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, product managers and stakeholders to translate requirements into solutions.
• Contribute to the codebase when needed to stay close to development work.
• Stay up-to-date with latest data technologies and trends.
