Job summary

PTSB is seeking a Data Engineer to shape data flows and analytics-ready datasets, spanning Teradata Vantage, Snowflake and modern big data tools. You will design and optimize ETL processes, model data, and collaborate across Build and Run teams to deliver business insights.

You will contribute to research activities, mentor peers, and help maintain documentation while staying current with industry trends. This Dublin/Cork hybrid role supports the bank's data-driven decisions.

Qualifications

• Proven data engineering experience with enterprise class platforms such as Teradata Vantage and Snowflake.
• Experience creating data pipelines, provisioning and storage, ETL development and data modelling.
• Contributed to research activities and data-driven insights.
• Capabilities in Service Management, Data Engineering and Enterprise Support.
• Hands-on experience with Teradata EDW, ETL processes and data modelling.
• Familiar with Hadoop and Spark, and cloud platforms like AWS/Azure.
• Familiar with CORA, JIRA and Confluence.

Responsibilities

• Support project teams in designing and implementing ETL processes for analytics.
• Follow leadership within the team to ensure project delivery frameworks.
• Collaborate across Build and Run teams to deliver analytics solutions.
• Aid in resolving complex data quality issues and drive improvements.
• Keep process documentation up to date for cross-team knowledge transfer.
• Stay updated on engineering trends and propose best practices.
• Support the D&A Community of Practice and related training settings.
• Provide mentoring and coaching to less experienced colleagues.
