Job summary

Realtime Recruitment is seeking a Data Engineer to join a transformation journey in Ireland. You will work with modern technologies, cloud platforms and a scalable data warehouse, delivering high-quality data solutions for business users across multiple teams.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience in data engineering or BI, with strong SSAS Tabular and DAX, SQL Server development, ETL and data warehousing skills, plus experience with SSIS, Power BI and Azure DevOps.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in Data Engineering or related BI roles.
• Strong SSAS experience, especially SSAS Tabular and DAX.
• Excellent SQL Server development and data warehouse skills.
• Experience with ETL/data integration and dimensional modelling.

Responsibilities

• Deliver end-to-end data warehouse changes from requirements to deployment.
• Develop and maintain SQL databases, stored procedures, tables and views.
• Design, develop and support ETL/data integration processes.
• Develop SSAS Tabular models and DAX solutions.
• Contribute to data architecture and platform enhancements.
• Ensure data quality, governance and documentation.
• Provide technical guidance to analysts, data analysts, developers and project teams.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Data Engineer looking to work with modern technology, cloud platforms and enterprise-scale data. You’ll play a key role in developing and enhancing a data warehouse environment, working closely with technical and business teams to deliver high-quality data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver end-to-end data warehouse changes, from requirements and impact analysis through to development, testing and deployment.
• Develop and maintain SQL databases, stored procedures, tables and views.
• Design, develop and support ETL/data integration processes, including reconciliation and error handling.
• Develop and maintain SSAS Tabular models and DAX solutions.
• Contribute to dimensional modelling, data architecture and data platform enhancements.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, auditability and appropriate documentation.
• Provide technical advice to business analysts, data analysts, developers and project teams.
• Contribute to data transformation, cloud migration and modernisation initiatives.
• Work collaboratively across multiple projects and priorities, supporting effective change and release management.

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years' experience in Data Engineering, Data Warehousing or Business Intelligence.
• Strong hands-on SSAS experience is essential, particularly SSAS Tabular and DAX.
• Excellent SQL Server and SQL development skills.
• Strong experience with ETL/data integration, data warehousing and dimensional modelling.
• Experience with SSIS, Power BI and SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS).
• Experience with Git/source control, Azure DevOps and Visual Studio.
• Understanding of data quality, governance and enterprise data architecture.
• Experience delivering data changes through structured development, testing and release processes.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively across technical and business teams.
