Job summary

K2 STRATEGIC is seeking a shift-based Maintenance Engineer to perform preventative, corrective, and emergency maintenance on data centre critical equipment to sustain 100% uptime. This role requires safety focus, proactive problem solving, and ability to work within a facilities operations center.

Responsibilities include planning work orders, supporting project changes, reviewing failures, and supervising contractors while maintaining SOPs, EOPs and alarm systems in the FOC.

Qualifications

• Experience in data centre facilities or critical environments.
• Familiarity with safety and permit-to-work systems.
• Experience working with contractors and service vendors is beneficial.
• Basic understanding of IT and facilities systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain operation, maintenance and repair of all critical equipment to achieve 100% uptime on site.
• Plan and complete planned & reactive work orders by due date to maintain monthly compliance.
• Assist in planning, supervision and handover of project changes or improvements.
• Review equipment failures and develop root cause analysis and action plans.
• Follow SOPs, EOPs and risk assessments at all times.
• Develop site procedures for maintenance and operation of critical equipment.
• Assist in technical issues, project management and vendor reporting.
• Supervise third‑party engineers and subcontractors to ensure site standards.
