Job summary

Sisk Group is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Advisor for its Dublin data centre team. You will lead a safe, knowledge-sharing culture, provide expert advice to project stakeholders, and ensure best-in-class health, safety and environment practices are implemented and shared across sites.

The role requires minimum 3 years in construction and as a safety professional, plus IOSH (Tech IOSH). Opportunity to influence site safety and training, with competitive salary and extensive development

Qualifications

• NEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalent
• NVQ Level 4 or EQF Level 3 in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent
• Internal Auditor qualification
• Training in incident investigation
• Local PD/CDM and PSDP/PSCS training
• Awareness of lifting operations including BS7121 and IS361
• Temporary works awareness including understanding of the TWC role
• Training in temporary works supervision
• Additional professional development within occupational health, environment or behavioral safety.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example in health and safety across sites.
• Provide sound and industry leading advice to project stakeholders.
• Carry out audits/inspections of Sisk workplaces.
• Attend sites following incidents and assist investigations.
• Lead investigations in absence of Project Director or HSE Manager.
• Liaise with enforcement authorities during site investigations.
• Prepare Health and Safety reports for BU MD at applicable intervals.
• Alert HSE Manager to periods of inadequate safety cover.
• Assist tender and prequalification teams with safety concerns and solutions.
• Attend Start Up meetings and supply chain meetings when requested.
• Deliver appropriate health and safety training to site staff.
• Keep informed on legislative changes and best practices.
