Job summary

Datalec Precision Installations (DPI) seeks an Authorised Person to lead and manage the Critical Environments team on the Data Centre contract, operating and maintaining the facility infrastructure to meet performance and contractual requirements.

You will mentor the team, maintain strong client relationships, and ensure KPI/SLA adherence while coordinating 24/7 operations, reports, and audits across DPI and subcontractors.

• Experience with data centre or critical operations environments.
• Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems in data centres.
• Familiarity with CMMS and maintenance planning tools.
• Ability to manage escalations and emergency issues.
• Proven leadership and line-management abilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder influence skills.
• Ability to work outside normal hours in 24/7 operation contexts.
• Proficient IT skills including MS Office/Project/SharePoint.

Responsibilities

• Develop, mentor and manage the Critical Environments team on the contract.
• Manage professional relationships with client representatives at Data Centres.
• Lead post-incident reviews and communicate lessons learned.
• Deliver performance to meet KPI and SLA targets in the SOW.
• Oversee 24/7 Data Centre operations and maintenance.
• Prepare CE data for reports and meetings (MBR, QBR, reviews).
• Drive consistency in CE activities across DPI teams.
• Manage maintenance contracts and subcontractors within budget.
• Talent manage DPI employees with training and progression plans.
• Maintain confidentiality and compliance with data protection.
