Job summary

Covestic Inc in Clonee, Ireland is seeking an Onsite Data Center Team Lead to oversee daily operations and staff in a hands-on, onsite role. The position combines technical support with people management to ensure high availability and reliable service delivery.

You will spend most time supporting installs, troubleshooting, and maintaining servers with Data Center Technicians IC1 and IC2, while also supervising scheduling, performance reviews, and adherence to processes.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Basic knowledge of and hands-on experience with computer hardware.
High level of written and oral fluency in English.
Ability to learn new software quickly.
Multi-tasking and prioritization skills.
Able to lift and move up to 50 pounds safely.
Work environments may reach 90+ degrees Fahrenheit indoors.

Responsibilities

Oversees daily management of staff, including IC1, IC2 technicians.
Approve timecards.
Coach and mentor staff to achieve high quality results and high performance.
Conduct regular one-on-one status meetings and annual performance reviews.
Adhere to and apply the disciplinary process related to staff performance issues.
Explain operational performance results against KPIs and targets.
Suggest improvements for operational performance and efficiency locally.
Screen and schedule burst labor resources for short term projects.
Assist in interviewing candidates and onboarding of new hires.
Manage local morale budget and collaborate with other locations.
