RM Staffing B.V. seeks a Data Center Technician to join our client’s Carlow, Ireland facilities.

This on-site, freelance permanent role supports critical infrastructure across world-class data centers, with duties spanning server/network deployment, cabling, and environmental monitoring. The ideal candidate brings 3+ years in data center operations, strong troubleshooting and documentation skills, and relevant vendor or CDCP/CDCS/CDCE certifications.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of data center operations experience required.
• Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining server/network equipment.
• Strong cabling skills (Cat6/6a, fiber) and rack-and-stack experience.
• Familiar with power distribution and UPS systems; able to lift 50+ lbs.
• Data center certifications (CDCP, CDCS, CDCE) preferred; vendor certs welcomed.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain server and network equipment.
• Perform structured cabling (copper and fiber optic).
• Execute hardware deployments and decommissions.
• Monitor environmental systems (power, cooling, security).
• Respond to incidents and perform troubleshooting.
• Maintain accurate documentation and asset tracking.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams.
• Participate in capacity planning and upgrades.

Key Responsibilities

Install, configure, and maintain server and network equipment

Perform structured cabling (copper and fiber optic)
