Job summary

GemPool Recruitment is seeking an ambitious IT Technician to join a large Data Centre in the Dublin area. The role primarily involves working from a ticketing system to replace components and troubleshoot servers, with a strong emphasis on hardware maintenance and uptime.

The ideal candidate will have solid IT hardware knowledge, experience with servers or recent CompTIA certifications, and a proactive, team-oriented approach to work in a challenging environment.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of IT hardware and component replacement.
• Experience with servers or recent hardware repair experience.
• Passionate about IT hardware and maintaining uptime.

Responsibilities

• Perform hardware maintenance and repair on servers, storage and networking gear.
• Respond quickly to hardware failures and outages, diagnose and resolve
• Schedule and perform preventive maintenance and health checks.
