Job summary

Astreya Consultancy Ireland Ltd is seeking a Data Center Technician II to support reliable data center operations in a client environment. You will perform installations, maintenance, moves, and decommissioning of cabinets, servers, cables, and power equipment, following SOPs and safety standards.

The role requires hands-on troubleshooting, collaboration, and accurate documentation, with a focus on quality, safety, and continuous improvement. Strong English communication is essential.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years' related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Understanding of Data Center best practices and fault tolerance.
• Knowledge of data center electrical, HVAC, and bandwidth infrastructures including fiber/copper topologies.
• Experience with cable management and running fiber/copper in a data center.
• Ability to operate material handling equipment and use ticketing systems; strong English communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24x7 technical support in the client’s data center.
• Install, move, maintain, and decommission hardware including cabinets, racks, servers, and cables.
• Maintain accurate documentation of work performed and update records and logs.
• Follow SOPs, safety policies, and quality standards; escalate complex issues as needed.
• Collaborate with technicians, engineering, and site operations to complete tasks and improve processes.
