Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Data Center Electrical/Mechanical Project Manager for Critical Projects Implementation (CPI) to lead projects within live AWS data centers. You will oversee electrical, mechanical, controls, and architectural disciplines, identify improvements, and deploy innovative solutions to improve reliability and lower costs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or a related field is required.
• Experience in data center engineering or operations.
• Experience in vendor management and project management.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Oversee construction activities in a live data center and manage scope, timeline, and budget.
• Lead initiatives to increase data center resiliency and optimize electrical/mechanical systems.
• Review construction drawings and project packages and manage capital requests.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams and vendors to ensure high-quality project turnovers.
• Report key metrics and manage multiple center projects concurrently.
• Drive root-cause analyses for equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
