Job summary

Amazon is seeking an enthusiastic Data Center Project Manager to manage and deliver projects within Amazon data centers in Ireland. You will oversee electrical, mechanical, controls, and architectural aspects, identify improvement opportunities, and deploy innovative solutions to address operational challenges.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Experience in vendor management.
• Experience in a data center or other critical environment.
• Experience in data center engineering or operations.
• Experience with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Project management and oversight of construction related activities within a live data center.
• Responsible for the delivery of the project scope, timeline, and budget.
• Provide project management for initiatives aimed at increasing resiliency of data centers.
• Electrical design and review of designs for optimization of existing data centers.
• Construction/project package drawing review.
• Creation of project scope, RFPs, and capital requests.
• Total project quality including oversight of execution.
• Recording and reporting key metrics to team members and management.
• Concurrently managing multiple projects at existing data centers.
• Operational support including review of procedures, best practices, and maintenance initiatives.
• Drive teams to perform troubleshooting and root cause failure analysis of equipment or electrical systems.
• Work with contractors and vendors to deliver efficient and high-quality turnovers.
• Be a leader within the group and with internal/external teams that support the data center.
• Travel to data center sites for evaluations and auditing of electrical and mechanical systems.
• Strategic and tactical management of capacity delivery within their region.
