Job summary

Amazon Data Center Operations is seeking a Data Center Engineering Operations Technician to join the Infrastructure Operations team. This hands-on role focuses on electrical and mechanical equipment troubleshooting and operation to keep one of the world’s largest information infrastructures running smoothly.

You will work with UPS, switchgear, generators, HVAC, and related systems; monitor readings, support contractor work, and uphold strong safety practices.

Qualifications

• Experience with Microsoft Office products and applications.
• Technical qualification (Level 6 or higher) in Electrical, Mechanical, Refrigeration, Mechatronic Engineering, Instrumentation or a related discipline.
• Willingness to work shifts and perform manual tasks as required.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on troubleshooting and operation of electrical and mechanical equipment (UPS, switchgear, generators, HVAC, VFDs, transformers).
• Take daily readings of temperatures, voltages, currents.
• Supervise contractors performing servicing or preventive maintenance.
• Maintain highest safety standards and promote safety culture.
