Job summary

The Ardonagh Analytics Lab in Mullingar, Ireland, is seeking an experienced Data Analyst to join our growing analytics team and turn data into meaningful business insights. You will bridge data engineering and visualization, transforming data into actionable intelligence that informs decisions and drives efficiency.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, apply statistical methods, and contribute to governance and reporting across the Group.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in data analysis and reporting.
• Strong SQL expertise, including data querying, mining, manipulation, and segmentation.
• Advanced quantitative and analytical skills with the ability to derive meaningful insights from complex datasets.
• At least 2 years' experience using Python or R.
• Solid understanding of database concepts, structures, and data modelling.
• Strong knowledge of Business Intelligence principles and analytical best practices.
• Experience with one or more BI tools, including Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik.

Responsibilities

• Translate complex data into actionable insights that inform decision-making, solve business challenges, and identify opportunities for growth and efficiency.
• Partner closely with Data Engineering and Data Visualisation teams to understand available data sources and maximise their business value.
• Present analytical findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Identify trends, risks, and opportunities within large datasets and provide recommendations that support strategic business decisions.
• Enhance automated reporting and dashboards through proactive analysis, meaningful commentary, and actionable recommendations.
• Support the development and implementation of robust data governance, management, and reporting processes across the Group.
• Explore and apply AI and machine learning techniques where appropriate to drive innovation and enhance business insight.
• Contribute to the continued development of a world-class analytics function within the Ardonagh Analytics Lab.
