Dublin | Hybrid | €90,000–€100,000 + Benefits

The Opportunity

We are working with a leading private healthcare organisation in Dublin to appoint a Cyber Security Delivery Manager into a newly created position within its growing security function.

This is an opportunity for someone who combines a strong technical understanding of cyber security with the organisational and communication skills needed to drive delivery across a complex IT environment.

Working closely with the security leadership team, you will play a key role in coordinating security initiatives, managing dependencies across IT operations and external vendors, and ensuring security-related actions and projects are delivered effectively.

The organisation is undergoing significant technology modernisation, with investment across cloud, AI, Microsoft technologies and patient-facing applications. This role will provide exposure to a broad range of initiatives, helping ensure security is embedded throughout the delivery process.

The Role

This is a varied position sitting at the intersection of cyber security, IT operations, governance and delivery.

You will act as a central point of coordination across internal technology teams, security specialists and external vendors, helping drive actions forward, resolve delivery challenges and ensure security requirements are understood and implemented.

The role is particularly suited to someone who has developed their career in a technical environment before moving into project management, service delivery, consulting or a broader management position.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the delivery of cyber security initiatives, projects and operational improvements across the organisation.
  • Work closely with IT operations, infrastructure, applications and external vendors to ensure security-related actions are completed within agreed timelines.
  • Take ownership of tracking outstanding issues, managing dependencies and proactively following up with stakeholders to prevent delays.
  • Review technical responses and proposed solutions, applying a practical understanding of cyber security and IT systems to assess whether issues have been appropriately addressed.
  • Support technical security reviews, including areas such as firewall rules, authentication, access controls and infrastructure security.
  • Work alongside the GRC function to ensure security requirements, risks and remediation activities are appropriately documented and followed through.
  • Help coordinate vendor-related security issues, ensuring accountability and progress across multiple parties.
  • Support the delivery of the organisation's existing security roadmap, incorporating new initiatives and priorities as they arise.
  • Build effective working relationships across the business, communicating security requirements and delivery priorities clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of the security function as the organisation continues to invest in technology and security modernisation.
What We're Looking For

We are looking for someone with a strong understanding of cyber security and IT systems, combined with the ability to coordinate people, manage competing priorities and drive delivery.

Essential experience:
  • Experience within cyber security, ideally across security engineering, security operations, consulting or technical security management.
  • A good understanding of enterprise IT environments, including infrastructure, applications, networks and security controls.
  • Experience coordinating projects, technical initiatives, service delivery or security remediation activities across multiple teams.
  • The ability to review technical information, challenge responses and identify when further investigation or action is required.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to engage IT teams, vendors and senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent organisation and follow-through, with the ability to manage multiple activities and dependencies simultaneously.
  • A practical understanding of how security operates within a complex organisation, including the challenges of working across different teams and third-party providers.
The Ideal Background

This opportunity would suit someone who has progressed from a technical security position into a delivery-focused role.

Potential backgrounds include:

  • Security Engineer or Security Consultant who has moved into project or service delivery.
  • Security Operations or Infrastructure Security professional with experience coordinating remediation and improvement initiatives.
  • Cyber Security Manager with a strong technical foundation and a preference for hands-on delivery and stakeholder coordination.
  • Security Consultant from a professional services environment with experience managing technical security engagements and multiple stakeholders.

A purely audit-focused or GRC-only background is unlikely to provide the technical grounding required for this position. Equally, this is not a traditional SOC analyst role; the successful candidate will need experience working across broader enterprise IT environments.

Why Join?
  • Newly created position: An opportunity to shape how security delivery is coordinated within the organisation.
  • Broad exposure: Work across cyber security, infrastructure, applications, cloud, governance and technology modernisation.
  • Meaningful investment: Be involved in a significant programme of technology and security initiatives, including AI, Microsoft technologies and cloud migration.
  • Small, established security team: Work closely with experienced security professionals and have visibility across the wider business.
  • Complex environment: Gain exposure to the unique security challenges of a regulated healthcare organisation, supporting approximately 3,000 users and a diverse technology and medical device estate.
