Job summary

Allied Irish Banks is seeking a Cyber Security Officer to lead the cyber defence program from the ESR Fusion Centre in Dublin. You will direct security monitoring, incident response, threat intelligence and vulnerability management, coordinating with technology and business teams to reduce risk and strengthen resilience.

The role requires extensive experience in security operations, governance and regulatory awareness, plus the ability to influence senior stakeholders across a large bank.

Qualifications

• A degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information Technology or related field or equivalent experience.
• Experience leading cyber security operations in a large, complex org.
• Strong knowledge of security monitoring, incident response, threat intelligence and vulnerability management.

Responsibilities

• Lead and continuously improve AIB's cyber defence capability, including monitoring, detection and triage, threat intelligence and vulnerability management.
• Oversee cyber defence teams with clear direction, coaching and prioritisation.
• Coordinate with technology, business teams and groups to strengthen cyber resilience and incident response capabilities.
