Job summary

Allied Irish Banks (AIB) is seeking a Cyber Security Officer to lead and strengthen its cyber defence capability. The role is based in Dublin in ESR Fusion Centre with a hybrid model (3 days onsite).

Qualifications

• A degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, IT or related discipline.
• Experience leading cyber security operations in a large organisation.
• Experience in incident management, threat intelligence, and vulnerability management.
• Knowledge of SIEM, SOAR, EDR and security analytics tooling.
• Knowledge of network, endpoint, cloud and application security.
• Experience working in a regulated environment and communicating with senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead and strengthen AIB's cyber defence capability across security monitoring, incident detection and threat intelligence.
• Oversee management of threats and incidents including containment and remediation.
• Utilise telemetry and data to inform risk-based decisions and remediation actions.
• Strengthen governance with playbooks, standards and risk-acceptance processes.
• Coordinate with technology, business, and external teams including regulators and audits.
• Drive continuous improvement including evaluation of AI-enabled security capabilities.
• Support major incidents and crisis exercises.
