Job summary

AIB is seeking a Cyber Defence Lead to strengthen its cyber defence capability within ESR Fusion Centre in Central Park, Dublin. You will lead security monitoring, incident response, threat intelligence, and governance to protect critical services and data.

Collaborate across security, technology and business teams, influence priorities at group level, drive improvements including AI-enabled security capabilities, and report metrics to senior management.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, IT or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience leading cyber security operations in a large, complex organisation.
• Strong knowledge of incident management, threat intelligence, vulnerability management and investigations.
• Experience with SIEM/SOAR/EDR tools and security analytics.

Responsibilities

• Lead and continuously improve the cyber defence capability, including monitoring, detection and triage.
• Oversee cyber threats, incidents and remediation across the organisation.
• Coordinate with security, technology and business teams to strengthen resilience.
• Develop governance, playbooks, standards and metrics for senior reporting.
