Job summary

Aramark is recruiting a Retail Assistant to join our Ballymore team in Ireland. You will deliver friendly, efficient customer service, handle till transactions, and support stock control and merchandising to drive sales.

The role requires adaptability, teamwork and a commitment to health and safety in a vibrant retail setting. Flexibility to work weekends/evenings is preferred, with full training provided to help you grow within the Aramark family and deliver an outstanding shopping experience

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a genuine passion for customer service.

• Able to work in a fast-paced retail environment and as part of a team.
• Flexible scheduling including weekends and evenings.
• Basic numeracy for till operations and stock management.

Responsibilities

• Serve customers with professionalism and warmth, providing friendly and attentive service at all times.
• Process transactions accurately using the till system and handle cash and card payments securely.
• Stock shelves neatly and maintain eye-catching product displays.
• Receive deliveries, verify stock accuracy, and organise inventory.
• Monitor stock levels and report shortages or discrepancies to management.
• Maintain a clean, safe retail environment and follow health and safety standards.
• Support opening and closing procedures of the retail unit.
• Assist with merchandising initiatives and promotional displays to maximise sales.
• Work collaboratively with team members to achieve store goals and deliver an outstanding customer experience.
• Respond to customer inquiries with patience and knowledge, offering solutions.
• Multitask during busy periods while maintaining service quality.
• Resolve customer concerns and complaints with empathy and professionalism.
