Job summary

B&Q Navan in Ireland is hiring a Checkouts Customer Advisor on a part-time basis (16 hours per week) for a 3-month fixed-term contract. You'll join a team where you'll be an expert advisor, helping customers with home improvement projects and facilitating click & collect, with a focus on great on-till service.

Shifts run 7.00am–10.00pm Monday to Sunday; notional rate and Sunday premium are indicated. You will be trained in various areas and encouraged to contribute to a well-presented store and

• Friendly and outgoing with a buzz from helping others.
• Willing to expand skills by using new technology and learning new ways of working.

Responsibilities

• Become an expert advisor and guide customers across home improvement needs.
• Drive sales including click & collect and setting up displays; ensure store looks great.
• Deliver great customer service at the tills and training in various areas.
• Work as part of a team on a rota that includes weekends, evenings and bank holidays.

What's the job?

Join our team, and you’ll become an expert advisor. An inspiration as well as a guide. The person who gets to know every customer and their home improvement projects. Sales will be important, of course, as will things like click & collect, setting up displays, and making sure your store looks great. You’ll have the opportunity to be trained in various areas, but on the tills truly great customer service will be your main aim.
