Job summary

ICON plc in Dublin, Ireland is seeking an experienced Senior Finance Manager to drive CSRD readiness and sustainability reporting across the group.

You will coordinate ESRS data collection in Workiva, manage DMA refreshes, policy gaps, and work with external auditors to ensure compliant disclosures for FY2027 and beyond.

This cross-functional role requires strong project management and engagement with senior stakeholders to deliver high-quality financial and sustainability reporting.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with 8+ years post-qualification experience.
• Strong knowledge of CSRD, ESRS and EU sustainability regulations.
• Experience with financial reporting, governance and control frameworks.
• Experience drafting sustainability or regulatory reports.
• Exposure to Workiva or similar reporting platforms desirable.
• Experience working with external auditors or assurance providers.
• Proven ability to manage complex cross-functional projects.
• Excellent project management and senior stakeholder communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead CSRD readiness and delivery of the first FY2027 sustainability statement.
• Refresh the DMA in line with ESRS requirements and coordinate stakeholder engagement.
• Update the CSRD Policy Gap Assessment and close identified gaps.
• Address outstanding actions from the Climate Risk Assessment and embed climate risk management.
• Oversee ESRS data collection in Workiva including emissions data from Watershed; ensure accuracy and audit trails.
• Draft the annual CSRD sustainability statement and coordinate contributions across stakeholders.
• Work with external advisors to ensure compliance and support DMA refresh, CRA actions and policy development.
• Establish governance, controls, and timelines to support auditable CSRD disclosures.
