Job summary

Wayflyer Limited is seeking a senior leader to own two pillars of Credit Strategy: policies and underwriting frameworks, shaping how we lend as we scale. You will align risk, finance, legal and revenue, ensuring policies support growth while remaining compliant and fundable by partners.

You’ll leverage data and AI to build scalable, automated underwriting playbooks, scorecards, and insights for leadership and future product launches.

Qualifications

8–10+ years in credit risk, policy design or risk governance.
Experience building policy and underwriting frameworks from first principles.
Experience with AI tools in credit underwriting.
Exposure to lending in the SME or e‑commerce sector.
Advanced degree or CFA/FRM certification is a bonus.

Responsibilities

Design, own, and continuously improve credit policies and frameworks for lending across segments.
Translate risk appetite into usable underwriting rules, portfolio limits, and approvals.
Design frameworks to launch new products and markets within risk appetite; participate in early product/market decisions.
Coordinate between Risk, Finance, Legal, and Revenue to ensure policy is practical, compliant, and partner-friendly.
Use loss experience to keep policies current and present trade-offs to leadership.
