Job summary

FK International - Financial Search and Selection is seeking an ambitious professional to support commercial and cost management on major construction and PPP infrastructure projects in Ireland. You will oversee costing plans, risk assessments, tenders, and lead cost-related aspects across multiple high-value initiatives.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of experience in QS or related fields, coupled with strong analytical skills and excellent stakeholder

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in QS, large-scale construction cost management or PPP infrastructure.
• Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret complex data.
• Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Support commercial and cost management processes for significant construction projects (€100m+).
• Lead costing and risk assessments, tenders, and related activities; oversee the costing team.
• Drive commercial and cost-related aspects across several major projects.
• Contribute to controls and processes design and implementation across programmes.

Continued growth and development coupled with significant capital infrastructure development plans (€1b+) over the coming years, has resulted in an exciting opportunity for an ambitious candidate keen to grow and further develop their career within the construction or large-scale infrastructural development sector. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, key aspects of role will involve:

• Supporting commercial and cost management processes for multiple significant construction projects, c.€100m+, from project start to finish
• Oversight and management of team producing costing plans, risk assessments, project tenders and more
• Leading commercial and cost-related aspects of several significant projects
• Controls and processes design and implementation

Requirements for this Role

Ideal candidate will have the following background:

• Strong academic background, with a bachelor’s and or master’s degree from a first-rate University
• Min. 5 years’ experience in either QS, large-scale construction cost management or PPP infrastructure development
• Strong analytical skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and exceptional stakeholder management abilities
