European Tech Recruit is seeking a Core Platform SoC Infrastructure Engineer in Cork, Ireland, to develop low-level device drivers at the hardware/software interface and work with ARM/DSP processors.

The role requires 1–5 years in embedded software, strong C skills, and a plus for ARM/RISC-V knowledge; Python automation experience is also valued. This is a permanent onsite position based in Cork.

Competenze

Core Platform SoC Infrastructure Engineer — Embedded Software / Device Drivers

We are partnered with a global leader in semiconductor and wireless technology innovation. The team is looking to hire a Core Platform SoC Infrastructure Engineer to develop low-level device drivers at the hardware/software interface, working directly with hardware designers across ARM and DSP-based processors.

This is a permanent, fully onsite opportunity based in Cork, Ireland.

Key responsibilities for this Core Platform SoC Infrastructure Engineer position:

• Develop and support low-level device drivers directly controlling hardware — digital clocks, voltage regulators, GPIOs, and interrupts.
• Collaborate closely with hardware designers to understand, improve, and implement hardware/software interfaces.
• Develop automation and tooling in Python to support driver development workflows.

Key requirements:

• 1–5 years of embedded software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in C.
• Knowledge of ARM and/or RISC-V architecture a plus.
