Job summary

Kilsaran Precast seeks an experienced Contracts Manager to coordinate project disciplines across multiple sites from the Brownstown facility in Co. Kildare. You will oversee contract negotiation, programme development, and handover, ensuring delivery of high-quality precast concrete work.

The role requires leadership of site crews, strong commercial acumen, and adherence to health and safety standards, with collaboration across production and management teams.

Qualifications

• 3rd level qualification in a Construction related discipline (Civil Engineering or Construction Management) essential.
• Membership of relevant professional body required.
• Significant customer interfacing experience essential with commercial focus.
• Excellent knowledge of various construction contracts.

Responsibilities

• Assist with construction methodology and programming at tender stage.
• Source site crews for complete frame installation.
• Organise erection programmes.
• Manage site crews and ensure subcontractor compliance.
• Collaborate with Production Manager to meet site obligations.
• Ensure erected products meet quality and safety standards.
• Coordinate with clients/contractors to meet site targets.
• Attend contractor meetings to agree programmes and finishes.
• Complete and hand over projects; liaison with H&S team on safety plans.

Contracts Manager

Kilsaran Precast is high-performance, bespoke business that offers a full-service solution from building design and manufacture through to installation, the fully automated state-of-the-art plants located in Kildare and Galway are not constrained by static moulds and are completely BIM orientated.

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Contracts Manager for our Precast Concrete Division based in our state-of-the-art facility in Brownstown, Co. Kildare.

The position will be responsible for the coordination of all project disciplines in conjunction with our Site and Production Manager across multiple sites, managing the delivery of high-quality material and service.

This is a diverse role which will include the remote management of operational teams whilst delivering the overall business objectives through contract negotiation and strategic management of projects.

Role

• Assisting with construction methodology and programming at tender stage.
• Sourcing Site crews for complete frame installation.
• Responsible for organizing Erection Programmes.
• Management of site crews on all projects and responsibility for ensuring compliance of subcontractors
• Working with Production Manager to ensure site obligations are achieved.
• Ensure all Kilsaran products are erected to a high standard and Quality control expectations are achieved.
• Coordinating with clients and contractors to ensure site targets are met.
• Attending meetings with contractors to agree programmes, benchmarking, finishes, snag lists, etc.
• Responsible for completion and handover of projects.
• Liaise with Health and Safety Team on:
• Implementation of H&S manuals for all site operations to include:
• Lift plans
• Safe Systems of Work
• Best Practice
• RAMS

Qualifications and Experience

• Recognised 3rd level qualification in a Construction related discipline such as Civil Engineering or Construction Management (Essential Requirement - Level 8 preferred).
• Recognised membership of relevant professional body/bodies.
• Previous significant customer interfacing experience is essential. Along with a proven ability to create and maintain positive relationships and a commercial focus.
• Excellent Working knowledge of various forms of Construction Contracts.

Skills and Abilities

• Ability to lead and manage a team of experienced Sub-contractors and motivate and work with internal and external service providers.
• Proven track record of financial management and budgetary control, and of identifying and realising opportunities for cost reduction and/or income generation.
• Exceptional IT and report writing skills. Full proficiency in MS Office including MS Project is required. Familiarity with Business Information Systems is expected.
• Exceptional presentation and communication skills. Proven ability to confidently and positively present at all levels, both internally and externally
• Excellent knowledge of Health & Safety requirements.
