Job summary

Collins McNicholas Recruitment & HR Services Group in Mayo is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee a portfolio of electrical, civil and infrastructure projects. You will be responsible for project delivery, commercial performance, client relationships, health and safety, and leadership of project teams.

You will work closely with Project Managers and operational teams to manage programmes, costs, valuations, variations, and forecasting, while driving improvements and ensuring

Qualifications

• 7–10+ years of experience managing construction, infrastructure or engineering projects.
• Strong background in electrical contracting and civil engineering.
• Experience managing multiple projects and teams.
• Strong commercial and contractual management experience.
• Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple electrical, civils, infrastructure, utilities, public lighting and renewable energy projects.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to required quality standards.
• Oversee project programmes, resources, costs, valuations, variations, claims and forecasting.
• Identify and manage contractual, commercial and operational risks.
• Lead and develop Project Managers, Site Managers, Supervisors and operational teams.
• Build strong relationships with clients, consultants, utilities, subcontractors and other stakeholders.
• Drive continuous improvement, Lean and operational excellence initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with contractual, quality, environmental and health & safety requirements.
• Lead project reviews and support the resolution of escalated operational and commercial issues.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements

• Degree, Higher Diploma or trade qualification in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.

• Proven experience managing multiple projects and teams.
• Strong commercial and contractual management experience.
• Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience in utilities, public lighting, renewable energy or infrastructure would be advantageous.
• Knowledge of public sector contracts/frameworks desirable.
