Responsibilities

• Oversee delivery of multiple large-scale projects from pre-construction to handover.
• Provide strategic direction to project managers, site and commercial teams.
• Manage programmes, milestones, deadlines and contractual obligations.
• Monitor budgets, cash flow, margins and commercial risks.
• Maintain relationships with clients, developers, consultants and subcontractors.
• Ensure H&S compliance, QA standards and environmental requirements.
• Identify and mitigate project risks and implement solutions.
• Oversee contract administration, procurement strategies and variations.
• Review performance, allocate resources and report KPIs to senior management.
• Lead project review meetings and ensure delivery targets are met.

About Your New Job

As Senior Contracts Manager, you will oversee the successful delivery of multiple large-scale construction projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on programme, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Working closely with Project Directors, Project Managers, commercial teams, clients, consultants, and subcontractors, you will provide strategic leadership across all stages of project delivery. The successful candidate will have a proven track record managing landmark projects valued in excess of €60 million, with the experience and commercial acumen required to oversee complex construction programmes.

This role offers the opportunity to work on some of Dublin's most significant developments across the pharmaceutical, residential, commercial, and data centre sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the successful delivery of multiple large-scale construction projects, from pre-construction through to completion and handover.
• Provide strategic direction and leadership to Project Managers, site teams, commercial teams, and other key project personnel.
• Manage project programmes, ensuring critical milestones, deadlines, and contractual obligations are achieved.
• Monitor project financial performance, budgets, cash flow, margins, and commercial risks to maximise profitability.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, developers, consultants, subcontractors, and other key stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, quality assurance standards, environmental requirements, and company procedures.
• Identify and mitigate project risks, implementing effective solutions to address programme, commercial, technical, and operational challenges.
• Oversee contract administration, procurement strategies, subcontractor negotiations, and the management of contractual claims and variations.
• Review project performance regularly, ensuring resources are allocated effectively and delivery targets are consistently achieved.
• Lead project review meetings, monitor KPIs, and report on programme, costs, risks, and overall performance to senior management.
• Ensure consistent standards of construction quality, operational efficiency, and best practice across all projects.
• Support the development of project teams, promote a strong performance culture, and contribute to the company's wider operational strategy.

What Skills You Need

• Extensive experience in a Senior Contracts Manager, Contracts Manager, or equivalent senior construction management role within a Tier 1 main contractor environment.
• A proven track record delivering landmark construction projects valued in excess of €60 million.
• Experience across large-scale projects within sectors such as pharmaceutical, residential, commercial, data centres, or other complex construction environments.
• Strong commercial awareness, including budget management, cost control, procurement, contract administration, and risk management.
• Excellent knowledge of construction methodologies, project programming, contractual obligations, and project delivery processes.
• Demonstrated ability to lead large multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• A thorough understanding of health and safety legislation, quality standards, and construction industry best practices.
• Relevant third-level qualification in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline.
• The ability to operate at a senior level, make strategic decisions, and drive project performance across a portfolio of major developments.
