Job summary

Brightpath Recruitment has a contract Safety Officer role on a prestigious commercial project in Dublin 8. Immediate start for an experienced officer to join the site team and oversee Health and Safety onsite.

The ideal candidate holds a Diploma/ Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, IOSH, Safe Pass and CSCS, with at least 3 years of EHS experience in construction and a solid understanding of Irish EHS legislation.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in OHS or equivalent.
• IOSH Membership, Safe Pass and CSCS are required.
• Minimum 3 years EHS experience in construction.
• Strong understanding of Irish EHS legislation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily health and safety inspections.
• Ensure compliance with construction regs and procedures.
• Review RAMS, SOPs and PTW applications.
• Lead incident investigations for near-misses or accidents.
• Deliver toolbox talks and site inductions.

This company has forged an outstanding reputation as a progressive and engaging employer. Due to their continued success, our client now has an immediate requirement for an experienced Safety Officer, to join the site team and oversee Health and Safety on this fast-paced construction project.

Key Responsibilities

• Site Inspections & Audits: Conduct daily Health and Safety inspections.
• Compliance and Standards: Ensure strict compliance with all construction regulations and operational procedures.
• Risk Management: Review and approve RAMS, SOP’s and PTW applications.
• Incident Investigations: Lead analysis for any near-misses, incidents or accidents.
• Induction and Training: Toolbox talks, site inductionand targeted staff briefings.

Requirements

• Diploma / Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent
• IOSH Membership, safe pass and CSCS
• Minimum of 3 Years of EHS experience gained working withinthe construction industry
• Strong understanding of Irish EHS legislation
