Job summary

Ward Personnel in Cork is seeking a Recruitment Resourcer to join its Labour & Trades division. You will own the candidate side: sourcing, registering and onboarding operatives and tradespeople for on-site roles across Ireland.

This is a high-volume, fast-moving position with a strong emphasis on compliance and timely placement. You don’t need prior recruitment experience; if you are organised, phone‑comfortable and target-driven we will teach you the rest.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills and confidence on the phone.
• Excellent organisation and attention to detail; compliance paperwork has to be right.
• Comfortable managing a busy workload and working to weekly activity targets.
• Fluent English, written and spoken.
• Knowledge of the construction sector or construction trades; familiarity with compliance requirements.
• Second language (Polish or Romanian) would be useful.

Responsibilities

• Sourcing candidates through job boards, CRM, social media and referrals.
• Conducting registration calls with operatives and tradespeople.
• Completing registrations: right-to-work checks, Safe Pass, CSCS, manual handling, references.
• Advertising live vacancies and managing responses.
• Building and maintaining candidate pipelines for hard-to-fill trades.
• Keeping candidate records accurate in the CRM.
• Maintaining regular contact with candidate pool and availability.
• Supporting Account Managers with shortlisting, submissions and interview arrangements.
• Assisting with onboarding and first-day arrangements on site.
