Job summary

STS Group Limited is seeking an experienced Electrical Construction Supervisor for a major data centre project in Frankfurt. You will oversee day-to-day electrical installation activities, supervise subcontractors, and ensure work aligns with design specs and safety standards.

The role reports to the Construction Manager and requires strong knowledge of containment, switchgear, transformers, UPS systems, and BIM model updates. Excellent leadership and hands-on problem-solving are essential.

Qualifications

• Electrically qualified with site supervision experience on large-scale Data Centre projects.
• Proven track record supervising electrical installation packages.
• Knowledge of RAMS and safety regulations on site.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily site operations, directing labour and electrical sub-contractors to align with the construction schedule.
• Oversee containment, MV/HV/LV switchgear, transformers, UPS systems, generators, and busbar trunking installations.
• Ensure all works comply with STS Group EHS procedures, RAMS, and method statements.
• Conduct regular walk-downs and quality inspections to identify and resolve defects early.
• Coordinate site logistics, material deliveries and tool allocation for smooth workflow.
• Liaise with client representatives and trade supervisors to resolve interfaces and queries.
• Review drawings, schematics, and BIM updates to ensure installations match approved details.
• Input into weekly progress reporting and track % complete against milestones.
• Support commissioning with pre-commissioning checks and early QA activities.
• Deliver daily pre-start briefings and safety inductions to site teams.

Join STS Group as our next Electrical Construction Supervisor for a major data centre project in Frankfurt.

We are looking for an experienced Construction Supervisor with an electrical bias to join our project team in Frankfurt, Germany. Part of the Dussmann Group of companies based out of Berlin, STS Group is fully committed to the highest Health, Safety, Environmental & Quality practices.

The Opportunity

This role will work closely with the project management, engineering, and quality teams to oversee day-to-day electrical installation activities across the site. Key to this role will be the ability to effectively supervise sub-contractors, drive productivity, and ensure all electrical containment, cabling, and equipment installations adhere strictly to design specifications and safety standards.

Reporting to the Construction Manager, here are some of the key duties of this role:

• Supervise daily site operations, direct direct labour and electrical sub-contractors, and ensure works progress in line with the construction schedule.
• Oversee the installation of containment, MV/HV/LV switchgear, transformers, UPS systems, generators, and busbar trunking systems.
• Ensure all works are completed safely in compliance with STS Group EHS procedures, Risk Assessments, and Method Statements (RAMS).
• Conduct regular daily walk-downs and quality inspections of ongoing electrical installations to identify and resolve defects early.
• Coordinate site logistics, materials deliveries, and tool allocation to maintain smooth workflow across assigned build areas.
• Liaise closely with client representatives, package managers, and trade supervisors to resolve site interfaces and technical queries promptly.
• Review drawings, schematics, and model updates (BIM) to ensure works are installed accurately to approved detail.
• Input into weekly progress reporting, tracking physical percentage complete against project milestones.
• Support the Quality and Commissioning teams with preliminary walk-downs and pre-commissioning checks prior to handover.
• Deliver daily pre-start briefings, toolbox talks, and task-specific safety inductions to site teams.

Key Qualifications Required:

• Electrical craft qualification (e.g., Electrician / Electrical Trade) or Electrical Engineering diploma/qualification with extensive site supervision experience.
• Proven track record in a supervisory capacity managing electrical installation packages on large-scale Data Centre or heavy industrial projects.
• Strong knowledge of electrical installation techniques, containment systems, and power distribution systems.
• In-depth understanding of site safety practices, RAMS, and local statutory construction regulations.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and crew-management skills with a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
• Ability to prioritise daily tasks, manage multiple trade teams, and deliver quality targets under tight project deadlines.
