Cpl is seeking an experienced Site Manager in Dublin to oversee a live hospital construction project where the facility remains operational. The role requires strong leadership, strict safety discipline, and coordination with hospital staff throughout the works.
The job involves planning the structural sequence, supervising formwork and steel, and acting as Temporary Works Coordinator. You will manage lifting over occupied areas, supervise subcontractors, and maintain infection-control barriers
My client is a main contractor specialising in construction inside operating hospitals and clinics: extensions, refurbishments, laboratories, imaging suites and technical fitouts, delivered while the hospital keeps running. We work repeatedly for the same healthcare clients in Dublin and nationwide.
Due to expansion we now look to hire an experienced Site Manager to join us permanently.
A new first-floor laboratory and plant extension built over an operating clinical area of a Dublin hospital, which stays fully in use throughout. The work is a new structural steel and in-situ reinforced-concrete frame and roof, the external envelope, and a full laboratory fit-out with new mechanical and electrical services tied into the live hospital.
The structure and shell are a Contractor's Designed Portion. The design is being completed through RFIs and technical submittals on Procore while the work proceeds. Everything runs inside the hospital's permit-to-work and infection-control regime, with out-of-hours tie-ins. About eight months on site, with the frame going up through the winter.
The Site Manager runs the site day to day under the Project Manager: plans and supervises the structural sequence, acts as Temporary Works Coordinator, plans and controls lifting over an occupied building, supervises the sub-contractors, and keeps every hospital protection in place every day.
