Job summary

Frey Consulting Group in Leinster seeks an experienced Construction Plant Fitter to service, maintain and repair heavy plant and construction equipment across customer sites and workshops. The role offers hands-on engineering work, exposure to market-leading machinery and ongoing manufacturer training.

You will work in the Leinster region with a strong emphasis on safety, quality, and customer service, with a company vehicle, fuel card and pension as part of the package.

Qualifications

• Qualified Construction Plant Fitter, Heavy Equipment Technician or similar trade qualification.
• Experience maintaining and repairing heavy plant equipment.
• Strong hydraulic, mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
• Experience working on excavators, loaders, dumpers or related machinery.
• Good problem-solving and diagnostic abilities.
• Strong communication and customer-facing skills.
• Ability to work independently in a field-based environment.
• Full clean driving licence.

THE COMPANY:

Our client is a long-established and highly respected supplier of construction plant, heavy equipment and industrial machinery throughout Ireland. Representing a portfolio of premium global manufacturers, they provide sales, servicing and technical support to customers across construction, quarrying, recycling, infrastructure and industrial sectors.

Due to continued growth within their service department, they are seeking a Construction Plant Fitter to join their Leinster-based engineering team.

THE ROLE:

The successful Construction Plant Fitter will be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing a range of heavy plant and construction equipment across customer sites and workshop environments.

This is a hands-on engineering role offering excellent variety, exposure to market-leading machinery and ongoing manufacturer training.

We are looking to speak with candidates who have experience within construction plant, heavy equipment, agricultural machinery, heavy vehicles, quarrying equipment or industrial maintenance environments.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Qualified Construction Plant Fitter, Heavy Equipment Technician or similar trade qualification
• Experience maintaining and repairing heavy plant equipment
• Strong hydraulic, mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills
• Experience working on excavators, loaders, dumpers or related machinery
• Good problem-solving and diagnostic abilities
• Strong communication and customer-facing skills
• Ability to work independently in a field-based environment
