Job summary

Teamworx Ltd is seeking a Hire Fitter to join their team in Lucan, Co. Dublin. In this permanent, full-time role, you will be responsible for the maintenance and servicing of a variety of plant and tool equipment, ensuring that it's safe and reliable for customers.

The ideal candidate will have solid experience in the plant and tool hire industry, a proactive safety-conscious approach, and strong mechanical skills. The position offers a Monday-to-Friday schedule and a comprehensive benefits package including sick pay scheme and staff discounts.

Are you a skilled fitter with hands‑on experience in the plant and tool hire industry? This is a fantastic opportunity to join Ireland's leading builders' merchant group in a permanent, full‑time role based in Lucan, Co. Dublin close to major road networks and offering an excellent work‑life balance with a Monday‑to‑Friday schedule.

Role Overview

As Hire Fitter, you will be at the heart of a busy and well‑established hire department, taking ownership of the maintenance, servicing, and repair of a diverse fleet of plant and tool equipment. You will play a key role in ensuring customers receive equipment that is safe, reliable, and ready to perform on site — while building real expertise across a broad range of machinery.

Working Hours

Monday – Friday

What You'll Be Doing

You will be responsible for the maintenance and servicing of a wide range of equipment, including:

Large Plant

Small Plant

• Cement Mixers
• Concrete Power Floats
• Plate Compactors
• Poker Vibrators

Electrical & Engine Tools

Your day‑to‑day responsibilities will also include:

• Carrying out PAT testing and fleet readiness checks
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised hire workshop
• Supporting customer sales and delivering expert equipment demonstrations
• Upholding health & safety standards across all activities
• Assisting with the day‑to‑day running of the hire department
