Job summary

Hitachi Energy in Dublin is seeking a Construction Manager to coordinate and oversee construction activities at project sites, ensuring safety, on-time delivery and compliance with project requirements. The role is based in Dublin with hybrid working arrangements (3 days in the office).

You will lead site teams, manage resources, review drawings, and ensure adherence to health, safety and environmental standards as well as company policies.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Construction Manager or in a similar role within complex industrial, infrastructure or EPC projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, site coordination and resource planning.
• Experience leading teams and coordinating site-based personnel or subcontractors.
• Ability to work in a structured way, managing priorities and resolving site-related issues.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise daily construction activities at site, ensuring compliance with project quality plan and schedule.
• Plan and organize construction activities to optimize resources and meet milestones.
• Review drawings and specifications to resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Monitor materials, equipment and manpower availability to align with construction program.
• Ensure construction works comply with health, safety and environmental requirements and Hitachi Energy policies.
• Provide leadership to site teams, setting clear goals to achieve operational results.
• Ensure policies and procedures are understood and followed by direct reports, contractors and stakeholders.
