Job summary

Walls Construction in Ireland is seeking a Health and Safety Advisor to support managers and staff to meet the high safety standards demanded by the business and to pursue zero tolerance to incidents.

You will oversee risk assessments, maintain the Group Safety Management System, arrange training, and lead incident investigations.

The role involves reporting on safety performance, coordinating with safety managers and trade bodies, and promoting a culture of safe work.

Qualifications

• Relevant degree or diploma in Occupational Health and Safety.
• 3+ years construction experience.
• Strong understanding of Health and Safety regulations.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Maintain close working relationship with business teams to implement the Group Safety Management System.
• Participate in appointing competent persons for key safety roles and identify training needs.
• Ensure risk assessment processes exist and are monitored.
• Monitor procedures for lifting operations, temporary works, inductions, fire and emergencies, permits.
• Set up and maintain safety committees and liaise with safety managers and trade associations.
