Job summary

Lincoln Recruitment Specialists is seeking a Compliance Coordinator to join the Quality team in Longford. You will own the Food Safety and Quality Management Systems, ensuring compliance with BRC/IFS and retailer standards, and drive audit readiness across the site.

Working closely with production and engineering, you will lead gap analysis, document control, internal audits and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years' experience in a dedicated Quality, Food Safety or Compliance role within food manufacturing or similarly regulated environment.
  • A third-level qualification in Food Science, Engineering, Quality or related discipline.
  • Strong knowledge of Food Safety Management Systems and Quality Management Systems.
  • Experience working in a BRC and/or IFS-certified environment.
  • Experience working with retailer/customer Codes of Practice and technical standards.
  • Strong understanding of HACCP, risk assessment, internal auditing, document control and corrective actions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement and maintain the site's Food Safety Management System and Quality Management System.
  • Review customer Codes of Practice, technical standards and BRC/IFS requirements; identify gaps and implement corrective actions.
  • Conduct regular gap analysis and develop or update procedures, SOPs and supporting documentation.
  • Coordinate compliance with customer and retailer standards and respond to customer alerts where required.
  • Manage and maintain the site's internal audit programme; ensure audits are completed on time.
  • Participate in HACCP, traceability and internal audit teams.
  • Support and participate in customer, third-party and regulatory audits.
  • Ensure audit non-conformances are investigated and closed within deadlines.
  • Manage the document control process for the Food Safety and Quality Management Systems.
  • Work with Production, Engineering and other departments to embed food safety and quality in day-to-day practices.
  • Monitor and report on Quality KPIs, including trend analysis and improvement opportunities.
  • Drive and support Quality and Continuous Improvement projects across the site.
  • Support supplier approval and control processes for raw materials.
  • Assist with customer complaints and associated investigations.
  • Ensure critical control points are effectively managed and understood by relevant personnel.
  • Support development of a strong food safety and quality culture across the organisation.

Compliance Coordinator – Quality & Food Safety

We are currently recruiting for a Compliance Coordinator to join the Quality team of a leading food manufacturing business. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Quality, Food Safety or Compliance professional to take ownership of key elements of the site's Food Safety Management System, ensuring compliance with customer standards, BRC/IFS requirements and internal Quality Management Systems. Working closely with the Site Quality Manager and wider operational teams, you will play a key role in maintaining audit readiness, strengthening food safety culture and driving continuous improvement across the site.

Requirements:
  • 4+ years' experience in a dedicated Quality, Food Safety or Compliance role within food manufacturing, pharmaceutical or another highly regulated manufacturing environment.
  • A third-level qualification in Food Science, Engineering, Quality or a related discipline.
  • Strong knowledge of Food Safety Management Systems and Quality Management Systems.
  • Experience working within a BRC and/or IFS-certified environment.
  • Experience working with retailer/customer Codes of Practice and technical standards.
  • Strong understanding of HACCP, risk assessment, internal auditing, document control and corrective actions.
  • Experience preparing for and participating in external/customer audits.
  • A good understanding of process control and continuous improvement principles.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills, with the ability to interpret quality and process data.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across Production, Quality and other functions.
  • Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office.
  • A proactive approach with the ability to take ownership and drive actions through to completion.
