Job summary

A compliance consultancy is seeking a Compliance Analyst in Cork. The role focuses on monitoring customer activity, ensuring Anti-Money Laundering, Responsible Gambling policies, and conducting due diligence reviews. You will work autonomously, requiring strong communication and analytic skills, as well as a proactive approach to AML matters. The ideal candidate will thrive in a high-volume environment and ensure timely reporting of suspicious activities. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends is necessary.

Qualifications

  • Monitor customer account activity for signs of problem gambling.
  • Review and process Responsible Gambling queries and emails.
  • Conduct KYC verifications and enhanced due diligence reviews.
  • Monitor and assess AML reports for suspicious activity.
  • Maintain accurate record-keeping of collected data.

Job description

At Matchbook, our Compliance Analysts are responsible for monitoring customer activity, ensuring Anti‑Money Laundering, Responsible Gambling and Know Your Customer policies are achieved at Operational level.

There is a strong sense of responsibility to protect the customers and the company from inherent risk caused by fraud and error whilst ensuring the company's ability to transact smoothly.

Particular emphasis in the role is to support customers that show signs and behaviours associated with problem gambling.

Reporting to the Compliance Operations Manager, the role will conduct day‑to‑day monitoring and identification of customers, ensuring speedy escalation when high levels of risk are identified.

What will I be doing?
  • Respond to Responsible Gambling emails and queries
  • Review customer account activity to determine if they are at risk of problem gambling
  • Conduct Responsible Gambling interactions
  • Check and process online withdrawals in a fast and efficient manner
  • Monitor customer deposits and withdrawals for fraudulent activity
  • Verify KYC documents
  • Conduct Enhanced Due Diligence reviews and request appropriate documentation as necessary
  • Review alerts as part of the company’s PEPs & Sanctions screening process
  • Daily assessment of AML reports relating to potential suspicious activity
  • Ensure timely and efficient reporting of transactions considered suspicious
  • Assist with addressing queries from law enforcement authorities or corresponding banks relating to money laundering matters
  • Stay current with money laundering and terrorist financing behaviours, industry best practices and developing Responsible Gambling trends
  • Ensure proper record‑keeping of data collected and analysed
