A private health and social care organization in Cork is seeking a Support Worker to provide high-quality care and support to individuals, enhancing their independence and participation in community activities. The role requires a QQI Level 5 qualification in Health or Social Care, alongside experience in a healthcare setting. This is a full-time permanent position requiring permission to work in Ireland and a full clean driver’s licence.

Qualifications

• Minimum QQI Level 5 in Health or Social Care or a commitment to complete it.
• One year of experience in a Healthcare or Social Care setting is advantageous.

Responsabilités

• Support service users with a physical disability.
• Assist individuals with their daily living activities.
• Facilitate service users' participation in the community.
• Manage challenging behaviours using a positive behaviour support plan.

Connaissances

Support the client group in a respectful way

Understanding of preventing and managing challenging behaviour

Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team

Comfortable using essential information technology
