Job summary

Kerry Parents and Friends Association is recruiting a Part-time Support Worker for Killarney Day Services 1. The role delivers person-centred support to an adult with complex needs, focusing on independence, daily living skills and community participation.

Roster is Mon-Fri 09:30–16:00, with responsibilities including documentation, care planning and collaboration with health professionals to ensure wellbeing and safety.

Qualifications

• QQI Level 5 in Healthcare Support or equivalent, with at least 1 year experience with adults with intellectual disability.
• Good communication skills, written and verbal, to engage with individuals and families.
• Ability to document accurately and maintain digital records in line with GDPR.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred support to a male client with complex needs.
• Develop and implement individualised care plans and daily activities.
• Maintain accurate records and complete reports in compliance with standards.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality care and wellbeing.
• Promote independence, dignity and community inclusion.
