Job summary

Western Care Association in Belmullet, Co. Mayo, is seeking compassionate Home Support Workers to empower individuals to live meaningful lives in their local community. Roles include personal care, home support, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to promote independence and social participation.

Formal qualifications are not mandatory; however, values such as compassion, reliability, and a person-centred approach are essential. Garda Vetting and a full driver’s license are required.

• Ability to listen, understand and respectfully support individuals in relation to their needs, preferences, rights and aspirations.
• Experience or understanding of person-centred support and inclusion is valued but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and practical support to individuals as required.
• Work independently and with the team to deliver consistent support in the local community.
• Contribute to local service planning and respond to changing service needs.
• Promote safety and adhere to Health & Safety requirements.
