Job summary

InisCare is seeking a Health Care Assistant to support customers to live safely at home, including personal care, meal prep and light housekeeping. You will follow safety protocols, maintain logs, and communicate with empathy during shifts.

Qualifications include QQI Level 5 Health Care or equivalent; additional HSE LAND trainings apply. Competitive hourly rates with mileage and career progression options are offered.

Qualifications

• QQI Level 5 Health care Award or equivalent is required.
• 1 year paid experience if QQI Level 5 is not held.
• Basic patient care, mobility aid, and daily living support as described.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety procedures and moving and handling protocols are followed.
• Report concerns about customers or colleagues to the manager.
• Report safeguarding concerns to the manager.
• Document tasks accurately in daily logs for each shift.
• Maintain confidentiality at all times.
• Attend training sessions and work within safe, professional boundaries.
• Perform tasks with dignity and respect for the customer.
• Encourage customer autonomy and decision making.
• Engage with the customer throughout the shift in a professional manner.
• Attend shifts as scheduled and report lateness or absences promptly.
