Job summary

InisCare is seeking a Health Care Assistant to support customers to live safely at home in Finglas, Dublin 11. You will assist with personal care, infection control, meal preparation and light housekeeping, ensuring dignity and respect for the Customer.

This part-time role covers mornings, evenings and weekends with opportunities for training and progression under QQI Level 5/6 sponsorship and employee benefits such as mileage, Refer-a-Friend and bike-to-work schemes.

Qualifications

• QQI Level 5 Health Care Award or equivalent.
• 1 year paid experience if you do not have your QQI Level 5.

Responsibilities

• Practice and maintain the most recent safety procedures (e.g. Person Moving and Handling).
• Report concerns to your manager if safety boundaries are not followed.
• Document accurately in daily logs all tasks completed for each shift.
• Maintain confidentiality at all times.
• Attend scheduled training and work within safe, professional boundaries.
• Ensure tasks (medication prompts, personal care, meal prep) are completed with dignity and respect.
• Encourage autonomy and decision making with customers.
• Communicate with the customer throughout the shift in a respectful manner.
