Job summary

Bluebird Care Ireland is seeking a Health Care Assistant to support clients in their own homes across Kilkee, Kilrush and Doonbeg, delivering compassionate daily living assistance in a safe, respectful manner. You will provide personal care, meal preparation, mobility support and companionship, follow each client’s care plan, maintain confidentiality and report any changes to the office.

Applicants must have QQI Level 5 in Healthcare, Garda Vetting and international police clearance, a valid

Qualifications

• QQI level 5 in Healthcare with relevant modules completed or in progress.
• Clean Garda Vetting Cert and International Police Clearance Cert.
• Willing to undergo a medical examination to provide medical fitness for work cert.
• Driver's licence and own transport; knowledge of using Google maps to find client's homes.
• Fluent in English both verbally and written.

Responsibilities

• Providing personal care, meals, mobility support, Alzheimer's/Dementia care and supervising medications.
• Following client's Care Plan and ensuring care is delivered as prescribed.
• Providing companionship and supporting social interactions.
• Encouraging independence and observing safety.
• Observing confidentiality and reporting changes to the office.
