Job summary

Komfort Kare is hiring Home Support Workers to deliver compassionate home-based care in Kildare. Join a team with over 20 years’ experience and provide essential support to clients in their own homes.

This role requires QQI Level 5 in Healthcare (or equivalent) and good English. Garda vetting, medical clearance, and HSELand training are part of the onboarding. Competitive hourly rates and flexible rosters help work-life balance.

Qualifications

• QQI Level 5 in Healthcare or equivalent.
• Care Skills and Care of the Elderly modules completed (mandatory).
• Full driver’s licence (preferred) and access to transport.
• Good level of English (spoken and written).
• Eligible to work in Ireland with appropriate documentation (visas, work permits).

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care in clients' homes (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting).
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Support daily living activities and promote independence.
• Assist with meal preparation and nutrition.
• Help clients with mobility and reduce fall risks.
• Carry out light housekeeping duties (cleaning, laundry).
• Conduct basic health checks (training provided).
• Assist with medication management as per care plans.
• Maintain accurate records and report concerns.
• Communicate effectively with families and healthcare teams.
