Job summary

Access Healthcare in Moycullen, Galway is seeking a Healthcare Assistant to support residents in a Nursing Home. You will draw on your care skills to assist with personal care, mobility, meals, and wellbeing.

Shifts cover days 08:00-20:00 and nights 20:00-08:00 with opportunities for morning and evening shifts. Base pay 15.00-20.00 per hour, with premium rates for nights, Sundays, and bank holidays. Garda Vetting and uniform provided, plus flexible shifts.

Qualifications

• QQI Level 5 in Healthcare.
• At least 6 weeks experience in Healthcare in Ireland.
• Practical Trainings - CPR/First Aid/Patient Moving and Handling (in date).
• Up-To-Date HSELand Certificates.
• Eligibility to work in Ireland.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal care.
• Help residents with mobility.
• Serve meals and assist with eating or drinking as needed.
• Monitor and record residents' wellbeing.
• Support emotional and social needs - provide companionship.
• Report changes in residents' condition to nursing staff.
• Follow infection control and safety procedures.
