Job summary

Access Healthcare is seeking an experienced Healthcare Assistant for Galway/Moycullen to support residents in a busy nursing home. You will deliver compassionate, person-centred care and work flexible day and night shifts.

Ideal candidates hold QQI Level 5 and have prior Irish healthcare experience, with strong communication and reliability. Weekly pay, Garda vetting provided, and uniform supplied accompany the role.

Healthcare Assistant – Galway

Location: Moycullen, Galway
Pay Rate: €14.15–€20 per hour, with enhanced night rates and premium Sunday rates.

Access Healthcare is currently looking for an experienced Healthcare Assistant with experience in nursing home.

This is a great opportunity for a caring and reliable Healthcare Assistant with previous experience in the Irish healthcare sector who is looking for regular, ongoing work.

We are looking for someone who is confident working in a busy care environment and committed to providing high-quality, person-centred care to residents and service users.

Requirements

• QQI Level 5 qualification.
• Previous experience as a Healthcare Assistant in an Irish healthcare setting is essential.
• Experience in nursing home is highly desirable.
• Experience providing personal care and supporting residents or service users with complex care needs.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• A compassionate, professional, and reliable approach to care.
• Availability to work both day and night shifts.
• A strong commitment to person-centred care.
