Job summary

RecruitNet International Ltd is seeking a Healthcare Assistant for a leading nursing home in Co Louth, Ireland. You will provide compassionate, person-centered support, assisting with daily living activities to improve residents' quality of life.

The role requires QQI Level 5 in Healthcare (or equivalent) and at least two years' elder care experience; nursing/allied health degrees are also accepted. Strong communication and teamwork are essential, with ongoing training and development

Qualifications

QQI Level 5 in Healthcare or equivalent.
Minimum two years' elder care experience.
Degree in Nursing, Allied Health, or healthcare field is acceptable.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Strong supervisory and motivational abilities.

Responsibilities

Provide residents with comprehensive care while upholding dignity.
Assist with daily living activities including eating, dressing, toileting, hygiene.
Respect residents' privacy and promote independence.
Support residents with limited mobility and special needs.
Follow care plans and notify nurses of changes in condition.
Report incidents or potential safety concerns immediately.
Maintain a secure environment for residents and staff.
Communicate effectively with residents and families.
Support and enhance resident events and activities.
