Job summary

Acquired Brain Injury Ireland is seeking a compassionate Community Rehabilitation Assistant to support adults with acquired brain injury in their homes and communities across South Dublin and Wicklow. You will work in an interdisciplinary team to help clients rebuild independence, confidence and social connections through personalised plans and goal-focused activities.

This full-time fixed-term role offers a 39-hour week with a salary range of €31,550–€45,381, pro-rated according to hours

Qualifications

  • Must have QQI Level 5 Health or Social Care or higher.
  • Full driving licence and access to a car.
  • Person-centred values and compassionate approach.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both spoken and written.
  • Confidence using basic IT systems to stay connected and organised.

Responsibilities

  • Build respectful, trusting relationships and offer consistent support.
  • Help create and guide personalised rehabilitation plans.
  • Encourage independence through daily living skills and personal care.
  • Identify additional support needs for the person served.
  • Encourage family and community relationships and interactions.
  • Provide feedback to clinical and management teams during rehabilitation.
  • Play a key role in case coordination for rehabilitation review meetings.

Are you passionate about making a real difference in people's lives? We're looking for a compassionate and dedicated Community Rehabilitation Assistant to join our dynamic teams in our South Dublin & Wicklow Service areas, where person-centred care is at the heart of everything we do.

About the Role

As a Community Rehabilitation Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting adults living with an acquired brain injury to rebuild independence, confidence, and meaningful precipitation in their own communities. Working as part of an interdisciplinary, person-centred team, you will deliver one-to-one rehabilitation supports in people's homes and local environments, helping them work toward goals that matter to them - whether that's daily living skills, social connection, cognitive strategies, or community engagement. This role is dynamic and community-based, offering variety, meaningful relationships, and the opportunity to make a tangible difference in someone's everyday life. The contract available: 2 x Fixed Term, Full-Time, 39 hours The salary range is €31550 - €45381 - depending on experience. This will be pro-rated based on working 39 hours.

What You'll Be Doing

Must Haves
  • Relevant Health or Social Care qualification to a QQI Level 5 or higher
  • Full driving licence, with access to a car

  • Confident using basic IT systems to stay connected and organised
